Meet Our Team

Bob Chandler

I am a second-generation insurance agent who has been in the industry for 29 years. After working for one of the most successful insurance agents in the country, I decided to become self-employed, and here I am 21 years later! I grew up in the Metro-Atlanta area where I attended Dunwoody High School and Norcross High School. I went on to graduate from Georgia Southern University in 1989.

When my clients purchase insurance, they are buying a promise. I make it my responsibility to fulfill that promise. Insurance is something intangible, but when they need help, they can rest assured knowing that my team will be in their corner, fighting on their behalf. My team and I are dedicated professionals who consider going above and beyond, the only thing to do. Our business cards include our cell phone numbers, so when tragedy strikes, you can reach us directly.

When I’m not looking out my customer’s best interests, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Just over five years ago, I took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and, in the process, I have earned my purple belt under Paul Creighton at Creighton MMA!! I still from time to time enjoy a good carrot cake on the days I’m not training. I’m a huge fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs! On Sunday mornings, you can find me at 12Stone Church.

Giving back to the community has always been a passion of mine. I take pride in being involved in various charitable causes in my community, donating both time and money.

I come from a long line of insurance agents; actually, my father, uncle and cousin all owned agencies. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2006, I worked in both Captive and Independent agencies. As a result, I have really intimate knowledge of the in’s and out’s of this industry. I’m truly passionate about providing the best service to our clients and making sure they know they can count on us.

As a lifelong resident of Suwanee, I have been lucky enough to see the Metro Atlanta areas grow from small towns to big cities, even though, Athens does have a piece of my heart. Until this day, I still love to attend UGA football games, GO DAWGS! When I’m not at the games, I enjoy spending time with my family and the occasional round of golf.

I’m really passionate about giving back to our community, through volunteering. I coach rec league baseball as a way of making my corner of the world just a little bit better!

Vice President

Working in the insurance industry has been a tremendously rewarding experience. Taking care of my clients’ insurance needs is my top priority. I take pride in running the day-to-day operations, while also making sure with my agents have the proper training and resources to best serve our clients. I think that truly caring for our clients like they are our family sets us apart from other agencies. Having access to 12+ carriers gives our clients many options to choose from. They don’t have to sacrifice coverage for price.

I was born In New York, but moved to Georgia at an early age, and pretty much grew up here. I consider myself a true Georgian!! I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, and you can even find me volunteering at church, as well. But you can always find me looking for my next food adventure!! I have a really diverse palate for all kinds of food, so I think of myself as a true foodie at heart.

I’ve been working in the insurance industry for years now and am loving my experience. Being able to shop for the best rate for our customers is my absolute favorite part of my job! Making sure our customers know we value our relationship with them is definitely a priority of mine. I was born and raised in Buford, Georgia. Growing up in a small town has made me appreciate that small community feel! And the reason I treat my customers like family.

I really enjoy being outdoors and taking in all the beauty that nature has to offer. Whether I’m putting in some work on my yard or hiking to a waterfall in the mountains, you can be sure to find me relishing in the outdoors with my beautiful daughter and our adorable pups!

I’ve always felt passionate about my community and finding ways to give back. I am a part of From Hunger to Hope, an organization which sends meals to families in need in small countries.

Debbie Pike
Account Executive

I have worked in the insurance industry for many years in various roles,  Account Management, Claims, and Customer Service. I especially enjoy working with customers and finding out what is going on in their lives and how I could help them with their insurance needs.  My biggest priority is educating our customers about what they need to know in order to protect themselves and what matters most to them and what they might not necessarily know about their insurance needs.

Growing up, my family moved quite a bit so I had the experience of living in  7 different states.  I attended college at  Georgia Southern University for my Bachelor’s Degree, and then later attended Strayer University for my Master’s Degree. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my children and my grandchildren. You can most likely find me spending my weekend with my grandchildren. I love being a part of all of the events they have going on!

Geoffrey Maurer

I worked for the State Farm Corporate Office in Dunwoody for 2 years as a Sales Agent assisting agents across the Southeast. I really enjoy talking to and meeting new people every day and educating them about the solutions we at North Atlanta Insurance can provide.

I am an Atlanta native. I attended UGA and Georgia State University. I am a huge sports fan. Go Dawgs (and Braves, Falcons, Hawks, United)!! I enjoy watching my daughter play soccer and my son play tennis. I also enjoy our family travels. If I’m not at the soccer field or tennis courts, chances are you can find me at Lake Lanier. In a total fluke, I almost bowled a perfect game one time. After 9 straight strikes, I had a spare in the 10th frame, bowled another strike and settled for a 278.

I am am a fan and supporter of the Make A Wish Foundation.

I started my career in personal lines insurance in 2002. I not only sell the insurance, but I also take care of the customers once the policy is sold. I really enjoy working with people. I feel like once you become a customer, you are like part of the family!

I was born in Albany, GA. In 1979 my family moved to Lilburn, GA and graduated from Parkview High School and then to Perimeter College in Dunwoody, GA. Spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not doing that, I’m working outside in my giant yard!! Mowing lots of grass on a zero-turn lawnmower. It makes mowing fun! Working in the yard. I like to be outside making the house and yard look nice. If I’m not doing that I’m hanging out with my family and dog. I think my best talent is making people laugh. I am quite goofy at times.

I used to volunteer for the City of Duluth Police Department. I don’t have a lot of time for activities now but I do donate to ASPCA and the American Cancer Society.

Melisa Rowan
Commercial Lines Specialist

I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and have lived in California and Tennessee prior to moving to GA. My prior insurance experience before my employment with North Atlanta Insurance was with a bank in Mobile, Alabama.

I look forward to working with our wonderful commercial insurance clients and carriers on a daily basis. When not at work, I really enjoy reading health material, crafting, antiquing and finding great deals when shopping!

I usually spend my weekends laying low with my family, catching up on my favorite shows,
movies, reading or bargain shopping. I also enjoy crafting and decorating!

Something people may not know about me is that I really don’t mind “some” bugs. When other people freak out when they see a bug, I usually try to trap and release it. Depending on what type of bug it is of course! On another note, a guilty pleasure of mine would be 80% dark chocolate.

When I had more time, I enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and The Place of Forsyth. I also donate to various charities throughout the year.

Abby Woodward

I was born and raised in Cumming, GA. I went to Forsyth Central High School and later graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Biology. I like that I am able to build personal relationships with clients and help people every day.

On the weekends, I usually unwind by spending time with friends, family, or simply laying on the couch with my animals. I am passionate about ornithology.
